Description Wenhall LANGELINIE FREEHAND Denmark Karl Erik, Rich Sandblast Wonderful Grain, Very Near Mint Offering this beautiful Wenhall LANGELINIE FREEHAND model, likely made by Karl Erik, from the late 1970's timeframe. I really like the unique styling, slightly smaller in scale, nice “S” bend to the profile. The Wenhall pipe brand has some interesting mixed history, which you can find on Pipedia. Michael Kabik made pipes under Wenhall too, but I don’t think this line, and not the ones marked Denmark. In regards to the Langelinie name, it’s for a famous location in Denmark: Langelinie (English: Long Line) is a pier, promenade and park in central Copenhagen, Denmark, and home of The Little Mermaid statue . This pipe is a fancy cut Danish Freehand, with a fine showing of grain details from the sandblast. It’s got vertical and ring-grain, and the right has a smooth panel as well. And it’s in very near mint condition! The inside is well seasoned with a thin established cake, so it should smoke well early on. Plus, the draw hole is bottom center, and the pipe draws very easy. Stem is original, and made of vulcanite, has one very tooth mark on the top of button, but that’s pretty much the only wear on the whole pipe. The pipe weighs about 1.65 ounces, has an impressive appearance, see dimensions below. Pipe's freshly polished, draws easy and ready to smoke!
