Description

Jost'swas a beloved pipe shop in the St. Louis area. It's proprietor was Mrs. Henry A. Jost. She was a pipe smoker. Jost'spipes are closely tied to Comoy's. Many of Jost'spipes have the standard Comoy's shape number and the "Made in England " in a circle. This J436 was a Comoy's make. The Comoy's shape chart has this labeled as a liverpool, but with the saddle stem, it is obviously a lovat. Stamping is faint with wear. Bit is a dual port thin-bite style.
