This Savinelli Punto Oro Sandblasted Author is from the 1970's. Punto Oro's are second only to the Autograph line and this one is an absolute beauty. The bowl is wearing the Punto Oro blast from bottom to top, revealing the stunning grain you'd expect to find on a pipe from the Pinto Oro line. At the top you will find a one inch wide entrance to an especially cavernous chamber, protected by thick walls which promise to provide cool sessions. The perfectly balanced outer bowl offers an amazingly comfortable feel in the hand, matched only by the tapered vulcanite mouthpiece. Further, this pipe will sit solidly on your desk or table, with the bit well above any surface. Want more? You can run a pipe cleaner through the entire length of this pipe. This beautiful Author is in remarkable condition for a 50 year old pipe. In my opinion, this Punto Oro is more elegant than anything else Savinelli has to offer, including the Autograph...it will out smoke them too! To me, this is top of the line! Don't let it get away.
