Description KAYWOODIE Super Grain Model *RARE* c1932-35 SHANK LOGO GRECIAN BRIAR, 5142 Gorgeous Rich Color, In Excellent Shape Offering a rare early version of a Kaywoodie Super Grain, with a “shank logo” of the clover, instead of in the stem. These were only inlaid in the shank from the early 1930’s, and this is a sought-after feature as so few were made. I have below a rare Kaywoodie ad, and also a part of a brochure, showing the clover shank logo, and this pipe is from the same era. The Super Grain was part of the new grading models in the Kaywoodie line, and the ones with the shank logo probably had the stamp GRECIAN BRIAR on the right side. The bowl is in great shape, light normal use and no issues. The interior is well-seasoned, and the draw-hole is bottom center, draws easy. The stem is original, has a metal Synchrostem fitment, and the stinger portion was cropped in the past, no real tooth wear to note on the bit. It's weighing in about .75 ounce in weight, is freshly reconditioned and ready to smoke! I buy pipes and collections, message me for details, if interested! Please see my other Auctions!
