1940s Vintage Waldorf Bon Aire Jr. Aluminum And Briar Radiator Tobacco Pipe

$ 20.6

Description

Patented in 1939, this pipe represented the future of smoking...an era when all the auto makers were penning flying cars with bubble roofs and chrome fins. The future that, sadly, never came. Smoking became bad, cars started being made of plastic and were conspicuously non - flying...and people just seemed to forget how to recognize when beauty and functionality merged. As the middle of the 20th century came and went, dozens of innovative and gorgeous tobacco pipes got left behind, to everyone's loss. Fortunately many were saved...this is one. Finned aluminum body, adjustable airflow carburetor, push-fit front cleaning port, vulcanite stinger mouthpiece and a tidy little screw thru briar bowl. I, truly, love this pipe. But, being the rare, junior model, it's just too small for me. I don't have the space to collect pipes that I don't smoke. Bid with confidence... ... .. .
